Terms & Conditions related to your use of the Mission Scotland website.
1. Description of Service
Missionscotland.org.uk is run by Mission Scotland, a registered charity in Scotland (no SC020148) and a company limited by guarantee (no. SC137392).
2. Acceptance of Terms
This agreement sets out the legally binding terms and conditions of your use of the Mission Scotland website and your membership to the forum within it. These terms and conditions are designed to protect forum members and those who access missionscotland.org.uk
By using the Mission Scotland website and forum you agree to adhere to these terms and conditions.
3. Registration
3.1. Registration
Membership of the Mission Scotland forum is offered through the Mission Scotland website. Mission Scotland reserves the right (but not the obligation) to invite you to become a member of the forum when you access the website. Mission Scotland reserves the right to refuse members or terminate membership if users breach the sites Terms and Conditions.
No payment is required to join the forum and no attendance is required at any Mission Scotland event.
Forum membership is personal to you. We ask you not to allow any other person access to the site using your account. This is necessary to preserve the safety and security of the site.
Mission Scotland reserves the right to contact users through the details submitted on the Mission Scotland Forum. Your username, name and other personal information will not be knowingly given to any other organisation.
3.2. Login Details
You must take all necessary steps to make sure that your password remains confidential. Please take extra precautions when accessing your account through a shared computer and we advise against using a browser's password manager to remember your login details.
You agree to accept responsibility for any activities that occur under your account.
You should inform us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account or access to your password.
3.3. Cancellation of Membership
Mission Scotland reserves the right to terminate your membership, remove or edit content associated to your account, or restrict your access to parts of the site at our discretion and without notice.
You may cancel your membership at any time for any reason by sending an email to info@missionscotland.org.uk .
Should your account be terminated, you will not be given back any content you uploaded to the site, nor will you be given access to those materials.
3.4. Your Contact Information
You agree to keep your contact information up to date on the site at all times, including a valid email address. By using the site you are confirming that you are eligible to use it and that all your contact information is up to date and accurate.
5. Access to missionscotland.org.uk
We will do our utmost to ensure that availability of missionscotland.org.uk will be uninterrupted. However, due to the nature of the internet, this cannot be guaranteed. Also, your access to the website may also be occasionally suspended or restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new facilities or services. We will attempt to limit the frequency and duration of any such suspension or restriction.

· to disclose personal information relating to any other person.
· to impersonate any person or body or falsely misrepresent yourself.
· to harvest or collect email addresses or other contact information of other users from the Service or the Site by electronic or other means for the purposes of sending unsolicited emails or other unsolicited communications
· to use the Site in any unlawful manner or in any other manner that could damage, disable, overburden or impair the Site;
· to upload, post, transmit, share, store or otherwise make available any videos other than those of a personal nature that: (i) are of you or your friends, (ii) are taken by you or your friends, or (iii) are original art or animation created by you or your friends;
· to spread viruses or other computer programs codes or files which are designed to interrupt , destroy or impair the functionality of any computer equipment.
7. Communications, comments, reviews and other posted content Members of missionscotland.org.uk may post comments, reviews and other content and send communications, as long as the content does not fall within the Prohibited Uses. Mission Scotland reserves the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit any content. If you do post content or submit material and unless we indicate otherwise, you: (a) retain ownership of the User Content you create, upload, transmit or make available in any way on the site forum. After posting your User Content to missionscotland.org.uk, you continue to have the right to use your User Content in any way you choose; and (b) grant Mission Scotland a non-exclusive, fully-paid, royalty-free worldwide license to copy, use, translate, modify, adapt, store, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, distribute and transmit such User Content through Mission Scotland services. If you remove your User Content from missionscotland.org.uk, this license will be terminated in respect of any further use of the material but shall not require recall or removal of any such User Content already distributed or transmitted. The license does not grant Mission Scotland the right to sell your User Content. You may only post User Content that you have personally created or have permission to post. You may download content from missionscotland.org.uk for private use only but you may not modify or alter it. You may not use, copy, transmit, publish, distribute, modify, broadcast, or sell any content published on the site without permission to do so from Mission Scotland. You may not use, copy, transmit, publish, distribute, modify, broadcast, or sell any information related to the identity of members on the missionscotland.org.uk forum. You acknowledge that Mission Scotland does not pre-screen the majority of forum content but that Mission Scotland and its designees have the right (but not the obligation) to remove or refuse to remove any User Content on the website. Mission Scotland also has the right to remove any content that violates these terms. 8. Defamation Claims Because of the nature and potential volume of user-generated content on missionscotland.org.uk, Mission Scotland operates a reactive moderation policy. Alteration of Service or Amendments to the Terms & Conditions Mission Scotland reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time, without notice. Disclaimers and limitation of liability Mission Scotland is not responsible for any User Content or any third Party Applications or Software posted on the site. Mission Scotland is not responsible for any technical malfunction of the site or for any occasions when the service may not be available for any reason whatsoever. 14. Governing Law This agreement and the use of the site is subject to and interpreted in accordance with the Laws of Scotland and in the event of any dispute the matter shall be determined by the Scottish courts.
