About Us
Mission Scotland supports, encourages and equips Christians for whole life mission discipleship with Jesus Christ.
Mission Scotland, is a registered charitable trust and works in partnership with churches, individuals and other Christian organisations who seek to encourage 'whole life mission discipleship' throughout Scotland.
We aim to encourage all Christians in Scotland to live their life with confidence in the Gospel. We recognise that Father God is interested in all aspects of our lives and our sphere of influence in His name. Mission Scotland offers support, encouragement, equipping, motivation and inspiration for all who are keen to persue this. We aim to enable Christians to reach across all boundaries, man-made and spiritual, so that others can discover Jesus Christ for themselves.
WHAT ARE WE DOING?
We are working in partnership with the LICC (London Institute of Contemporary Christianity) and have hosted a series of events exploring what it means to be '21st Century Disciple.'Around 300 Christians heard teaching from Bishop Gray Cray (Fresh Expressions) on what being a Disciple today means. It is Mission Scotland's aim to create resources from the teaching which we will aim to be available in the Autumn. Events have taken place in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. The third and final event in this series took place in Glasgow on Saturday 19th June 2010 at Renfield St. Stephens- Click here for further information.
Research into Scotland's unique culture has enabled Mission Scotland to ensure its work is relevant and targeted. You can find out more from our resources page. You can also discover books and resources to equip your journey here - more will be added in the coming weeks.
Through our events and Forum you can connect with like-minded people of faith, share and challenge all our thinking about our faith in today's cultural landscape.Start the debate!
